DAMASCUS, Syria.- Opposition sources reported that terrorist groups Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nur al Din al Zenki, which operate against the Syrian army in the province of Idlib and other areas, decided to merge as a single command under the name of Front for the Liberation of Syria.

So far this newly-minted organization did not disclose the number of members and merely reported it will fight the Syrian army and its allies to halt its advancement in territories occupied by radical organizations.

Extremist bands Ahrar al-Sham and Harakat Nur al-Din al-Zenki are supported by arms and financing by Qatar, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The main purpose of the terrorists is to overthrow the constitutional government of President Bashar al-Assad, and to seize oil and gas, an objective also shared by the American occupying military forces.
