DAMASCUS, Syria. – Syrian media emphasize that the head of the Department of International Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba, Jose Ramon Balaguer, commended the victories and steadfastness of the Syrian people in the fight against terrorism.

Sana news agency and television media reviewed that in a meeting with the Syrian ambassador in Cuba, Idris Mayya, the Cuban leader said the triumph of Syria and its sponsors will determine the shape of the new world order.

Balaguer emphasized that Cuba will be next to Syria in any circumstance and Mayya commented on the evolution of the current situation in his country, plunged into a bloody armed conflict since 2011.

He also noted that the achievements in the recent national dialogue in Sochi, Russia, show a consensus of the Syrians on the need of achieving the desired peace.
