Fernando Haddad continues to go up in vote-intent surveys.

CURITIBA, Brazil. – Brazilian former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva asked the Workers’ Party to support the candidate of the Happy People again coalition, Fernando Haddad, on next Sunday’s elections.

In a message from prison, Lula said the electoral victory will depend a lot on the commitment of each militant, so he urged them to go out every day in this final line of the campaign to ask votes for Haddad as if they were for him.

A poll of intent of vote revealed on the same day that, for the first time, Haddad reached a technical tie with right-wing candidate Jair Bolsonaro, also confirmed as the most rejected challenger by more than half of the potential electors.

According to the survey, Haddad increased to 25.2 percent of the electorate’s support, and Bolsonaro remains at 28.2 percentage points.
