MADRID, Spain.- The former head of the Spanish government, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, argued against the position of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, towards Venezuela, and opted for dialogue as the only way out of the conflict in that country.

Rodriguez Zapatero described as very troubling and serious some of the positions maintained by the American Administration since President Trump put Venezuela in the target.

The Spanish politician, who remembered to have visited the South American nation 37 times during the last four years, criticized the White House advisers for their ignorance of the Venezuelan reality.

Faced with this situation, Zapatero wondered how many of those great American advisors and strategists, who speak every day, know Venezuela, or how many have ever spoken to a Venezuelan, not just those who mark a line.
