MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay.-The Latin American Society of Political Economy and Critical Thinking, in solidarity with Venezuela, demanded the cessation of imperialist interference in that country, besieged by a national and international media war.

That organization expressed in a statement released this Thursday in Montevideo that events cannot be understood without considering the increase of U.S. and NATO´s military presence and influence.

The Latin American Society of Political Economy and Critical Thinking said that the offensive against Venezuela seeks to erase the example of 17 years of the Bolivarian process, and its great influence on the correlation of progressive forces in the region,

We encourage the deepening of a community and participatory democracy, and we make true the purpose built by the revolution in Venezuela about a sovereign nation, associated with Latin America´s independence, the text remarks.
