GUANTANAMO, Cuba.- In order to check the fulfillment of the Program for the Integral Attention of Improvement of the People´s Power, the President of the Cuban Parliament, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, pays a visit to Imias municipality in Guantanamo, damaged by Hurricane Matthew.

During the tour, Lazo became interested in the work of the governing body in the recovery process, and he learned that it advances at 80 percent of the more than 2 000 homes affected.

The President of the Cuban Parliament called to further strengthen links between the delegates and the population to take advantage of the potential of the Popular Councils.

Lazo also visited the Playitas de Cajobabo Museum, a family doctor’s office, and held an exchange with the presidents of the six Popular Councils of Imias and representatives of other fields.
