HAVANA, Cuba. – Convened by the Institute of History of Cuba, from October 24 to 26 will take place in the Convention Palace of Havana the Second International Symposium on the Cuban Revolution, titled Genesis and Historical Development.
According to MSc. of Sciences Rene Gonzalez Barrios, chairman of the organizing committee, the meeting seeks to create a space to stimulate the exchange of ideas and knowledge contributing to a better understanding of this historical process.
Among the topics to be discussed are historical roots of the Cuban Revolution, the Cuba-US confrontation and the process of normalization of their relations, their regional and global reflex.
In October they will also discuss the Cuban political system, the thought and work of Fidel Castro, the historiography of the Cuban Revolution, and the validity of Ernesto Che Guevara´s thought.
