HAVANA, Cuba. – The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, received this Monday afternoon. Rui Costa Dos Santos, Governor of the Brazilian state of Bahia, who heads a delegation attending the International Havana Fair, 2017 FIHAV.

During the meeting they recognized the close links between Bahia and Cuba, marked by common historical and cultural roots, as well as the Cuban medical collaboration provided to the Bahia people through the Mas Medicos Program.

The Governor of Bahia was accompanied by Jacques Wagner, former governor of that state and current Secretary of Economic Development. Roberto Morales Ojeda, Cuban Minister of Public Health and Marcelino Medina González, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated on the Cuban side.
