HAVANA, Cuba. – The President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, received in the Palace of the Revolution of Havana Bolivian President Evo Morales, who pays an official visit on the island.

Prior to the welcome ceremony and the official conversations, the President of the Andean nation honored Jose Marti in the Revolution Square, by placing a floral offering on the base of the monument to the Apostle of the Cuban independence.

Evo Morales, in brief statements to the press, congratulated the Cuban President and said he arrives in Cuba to discuss commercial and integration issues.

“We are here to make a new agenda with Fidel’s legacy.” Morales said, after paying tribute to the Cuban national hero.
