CARACAS, Venezuela.- The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, urged the people to vote for the country, independence and continuity of social programs, in the regional elections to be held next October 15.

With the vote, the Venezuelan people will say no to the interventionism orchestrated by the United States, the President affirmed from Miraflores in an act on occasion of the Day of the Indigenous Resistance.

In this way the head of State highlighted the importance of the aforementioned elections to strengthen peace in the South American nation, and against imperialism, interventionism and sanctions imposed by the United States Government.

Maduro also announced the activation of government programs for the benefit of the new generations, mainly of the young people of the original peoples.
