CARACAS, Venezuela.- The Commission for Truth, Justice and Peace of the National Constituent Assembly of Venezuela will trigger the search for mechanisms to advance reconciliation and reunion among all Venezuelans.

Venezuela must mark its course of understanding, peace, justice and reconciliation with attention to the victims, the president of the Constituent National Assembly, Delcy Rodriguez, wrote on Twitter.

During his act of proclamation by the National Electoral Council as the winner of the presidential elections, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called on the Commission to work on this matter.

The Commission has an executive Secretariat in charge of processing information and is responsible for promoting justice in violent acts, as well as assisting victims and families, promoting peace-focused policies.
