CARACAS, Venezuela.-The calling to national Constituent Assembly intends to look for a space breaking polarization, political conflict, and allow opening a debate to overcome the antagonisms existing today in our society.

Elias Jaua, who heads the Presidential Commission for the Constituent, stated those views with the firm purpose of finding a minimum basis for political, social and mutual recognition of the multi-ethnic social diversity in Venezuela.

That is the spirit that encourages Nicolas Maduro against the Venezuelan opposition´s refusal, or the leadership of the so-called Democratic Unity Bureau, of sitting down to dialogue with the Government and complying with the roadmap we had approved in November, Jaua said.

The official pointed out that the opposition used all its power in the Parliament to try to overthrow the Venezuelan President, and they do not have any constitutional competence to do that.
