PARIS, France.- The 2018-2019 school year France begins with an enrolment of about 12.4 million children and adolescents nationwide, a new period in which several changes will enter into force.
The Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blancher, detailed that 6,740,000 of students will attend the French schools.
Among the main changes envisaged for the new course in France is the prohibition of the use of cell phones in schools, a controversial measure approved during the summer in the National Assembly.
They will also apply in France a reduction of the tuition by class in disadvantaged neighborhoods, with about twelve students per classroom, while at national level the average is 20.
