Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- An important exchange of experiences took place on Wednesday at the Cuban Embassy here between participants in the III International Symposium on the Cuban Revolution: Genesis and Historical Development, held in Havana in October, and members of that diplomatic mission.

Led by Cuban Ambassador Milagros Carina Soto, the meeting served to share the experiences of a group of friends of Cuba during the aforementioned event, where the importance of investigating and deepening the thought of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, was highlighted.

Soto welcomed those present and explained the motives behind the exchange, making clear that what is important is for Dominicans and Cubans to share experiences, as two peoples united by historical ties.

She explained the current situation in Cuba and condemned the latest US sanctions in an effort to prevent the island from advancing its Revolution.

The ambassador stressed that now as never before it is important to strengthen the ties and support of the Dominican Republic and asked those present to work in that direction to strengthen and expand relations between the two nations.

Finally, the vice president of the Bosch Foundation, Matias Bosch, expressed gratitude for the invitation and his great joy on participating, as he considers himself Dominican and Cuban, and recalled the trust that his grandfather, Juan Bosch, always had in Cuba.

He described Cuba as a fascinating country and pointed out that those present at the activity were a large family that Cubans can always count on.
