GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala.- The State mission of Cuba in Guatemala confirmed that in the coming hours a reinforcement of doctors arrives to Escuintla, coming from the departments of that country where the Cuban Medical Brigade has presence.

The group of twenty doctors will join the other twenty six living and working in the Southern Department, one of those beaten by the powerful eruption of the Volcano of Fire last June 3.

While waiting for their companions, the collaborators of Escuintla continue with twelve-hour guards in the Jose Marti Federal School, one of the many shelters enabled to serve the people who have lost everything.

Since the magnitude of people affected by the tragedy was known, the small army of doctors daily do night shifts after concluding their work day at the hospital in that town.
