Guatemala, Cuba.-Members of the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (Agexport) confirmed today that about 10 companies will participate in Guatemala”s thirty-fourth edition of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2016) in Cuba.

The meeting in the capital of the Caribbean island will take place from October 31 to November 4. Guatemalan companies attending the event will show agricultural and food products, construction materials, consumer goods and others.

Agexport is a private entity that was born in 1982 with the purpose of promoting and developing exports of non-traditional products Guatemala, Central American country that has great potential in agriculture, forestry, food and commercial sphere.

In the course of this year about a hundred members of Agexport, the Chamber of Industry of Guatemala and the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala expressed interest in doing business, export and invest in Cuba.

The Chamber will organize the Guatemalan delegation to the FIHAV 2016, after authorities in both countries agreed to strengthen bilateral relations in the commercial, industrial, tourism, investment and cultural level.

The exhibition, held annually since 1983, has its traditional scenario in the fairground Expocuba, is considered the most important shopping bag general of Cuba and the Caribbean, and one of the most representative in Latin America.
