HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuban Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla received this Wednesday Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan, Kiyoto Tsuji.

Rodriguez Parrilla ratified in his Twitter account the good state of the bilateral relations that arrive this year to its anniversary 117. The head of Cuban diplomacy confirmed the common will to broaden and strengthen trade and cooperation linkages.

Cuba and Japan established diplomatic relations in 1902, and 2002, year of the centenary, was considered a propitious moment to deepen cooperation between the two nations.

Both nations have given impetus to their diplomatic and trade relations over the past three years, as the fifteenth meeting of the Cuba-Japan Economic Conferences showed last year, which identified several areas of cooperation.
