Cuban President Visits Areas Affected by Hurricane Michael.

PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba.- The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, visited tobacco areas in El Vizcaino community at Pinar del Rio municipality, where he was interested in the affections caused by Hurricane Michael. There he talked with several neighbors and became interested in recovery efforts.

Diaz-Canel began his visit in areas of agriculture, mainly those destined to the planting of tobacco postures, in the vicinity of San Juan and Martinez municipality.

The Cuban President also evaluates the impact of the meteorological phenomenon on the electricity sector, where more than 50% of the territory lacks this vital service, as well as the effects on housing and other sectors.
