Diaz-Canel led analysis of the sugar harvest in Cuba.

HAVANA, Cuba. – The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, chaired this Tuesday a meeting that gave continuity to the one held at the end of last month to analyze the situation of the sugar harvest in each province.

Diaz-Canel described the march of the present harvest as tense and considered fundamental what should be done by the Eastern provinces and Camaguey to recover the delay, because with the exception of Holguin and Las Tunas is there where the main difficulties concentrate.

At the meeting, the president of Azcuba Business Group, Julio Garcia Perez, said that despite the current situation the fulfillment of the Global Plan is still valid.

After the rains in March, Garcia Perez explained, several sugar mills have recovered efficiency, thanks to the influence of the quality of the raw material.
