Pinar del Rio, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel continued today his government visit to the western province of Pinar del Rio, where he defended the role of people in local development.

The management of territorial development cannot be done without taking into account the opinion of its people, insisted the President, who yesterday began his tour of Pinar del Rio province, a visit framed in his trips around the country to check the progress of programs of social and economic impact.

Diaz-Canel followed up on local development initiatives and visited facilities for popular benefit, including a beauty center and a museum.

The Head of State spoke with several people as he passed through the places visited, in which he also exchanged views with directors and led a meeting with leaders of Pinar del Rio.
