They pay homage to the mother of the Cuban homeland.

SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.- The member of the Political Bureau and the Council of State Teresa Amarelle Boue, presided over in Santiago de Cuba the homage of the people to Mariana Grajales Coello, on occasion of the 125th anniversary of her physical disappearance.

Until the tomb of the illustrious patriot located in the Patrimonial Corridor of Santa Iphigenia Cemetery, representatives of the Santiago society were summoned to witness the ceremony of homage to the mother of the Maceos.

A floral offering on behalf of the people of Cuba was placed next to the monument of Mariana, a few meters from the site where the remains of the exceptional patriot and example of Cuban woman rest.

At the end, Teresa Amarelle, Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women, told the press that in the people there are many Marianas, because of their attitude to the homeland, as the female doctors who return after fulfilling their mission in Brazil.
