HAVANA, Cuba. – Cuban and foreign specialists agreed this Friday in Havana on the need of the school-family-community triad, in order to promote the comprehensive education of sexuality in adolescence.

During the first International High School Workshop, Marisol Alfonso, from the United Nations Population Fund in Cuba, explained the joint actions between the ministries of Public Health and Education.

Alfonso commented on the importance of teaching the youngest about their rights, the services provided to them, not only from medicine, and encouraged them to attend exchange places where they can learn more about sexuality.

Referring to protection methods, she emphasized the use of condom and said that during this stage the first sexual intercourse begins, so using it cannot be optional.
