HAVANA, Cuba.- Fidel Castro is a fundamental point of reference in the political, cultural and human world, Luciano Vasapollo, vice-rector of Italian university La Sapienza, said today.
Vasapollo explained to Prensa Latina Agency: We had the great honor of frequenting and meeting the Commander-in-Chief, who was with us for a decade in the activities of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC).
The Italian professor added the leader of the Cuban Revolution was always present, and talked on the closing of ANEC´s meeting. He also remarked that thanks to Fidel he feels as a Marxist today.
We know enemies also respected the Commander, and received the affection of the peoples for defending the nations´ right to self-determination, the national secretary of the League of Communists political party.
