HAVANA, Cuba.- In the context of the activities of the 36th International Fair of Havana, the President of the Councils of State and of Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez received the Vice-President of the Government of the Russian Federation, Yuri Borisov.

During the friendly meeting they exchanged on the excellent state of bilateral relations, with emphasis on the links in the economic field that have been consolidated in recent years.

Diaz-Canel and Borisov also ratified the willingness of both countries to actively engage the Russian Federation in Cuba’s long-term development plans.

The distinguished visitor is in Cuba also with the objective of co-chair the session of the intergovernmental Cuban-Russian Commission for economic-commercial and scientific-technical collaboration, which is carried out these days.
