Revolution Sqaure, Havana.

Havana, Cuba. – The Cuban government described as “controversial” and “ridiculous” the message of the “poorly advised” President of the United States, Donald Trump to the Cuban people on May 20, local media reported today.

A note broadcast in the National Television News alludes to an information from the Miami Herald on the referred Trump´s message of May 20, 1902. That date means for the United States the emergence of the Republic of Cuba, when in fact it was the beginning to the neo-colonial stage.

The text emphasizes that Cubans do have full awareness of what May 20 meant, a fact that resulted in the American intervention in the mambises´ war against Spain.

That period was a stage of poverty, exploitation and crimes that culminated in the revolutionary triumph of 1959, the note add.

What Trump does not know is that on January 1, 1959 the mambises did enter Santiago, Havana, all the provinces of Cuba and since then its heirs, i.e. the people, are the only owners of this island, the document reads.

The Miami Herald also includes a writing titled Trump’s slips in State affairs do not give truce to the White House, a fact demonstrating that even the American Government is fully aware on the ‘clumsy’ pronouncements of the president, the information said.

In his message, Trump quoted Jose Marti, and the Cuban government´s answer was to describe Marti as the most anti-imperialist of all Cubans.
