Nancy Pelosi announced Senate vote against Donald Trump.
WASHINGTON, USA – The U.S. House of Representatives will vote on Thursday to formalize the investigation proceedings against Donald Trump, who could become the third president in U.S. history to stand a political trial.
In early October, the Trump Administration reported it would not cooperate with the impeachment investigation against him, arguing that the lower house had not cast a formal vote to authorize the process.
After weeks of closed-door interviews, this hemicycle is expected to approve open hearings and disclosure of testimonies.
The trial against Trump was announced in September by Democrats, who accuse him of pressuring his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodimir Zelenski, to investigate former Vice-President Joe Biden —in contender for the presidency in 2020— in exchange for military aid.
