Trump Signs Order to Limit Asylum Applications.

WASHINGTON, USA.- US President Donald Trump signed an order to prohibit migrants from illegally entering the country to make asylum applications, which could face legal challenges.

The measure is motivated by the progress of caravans of Central American migrants, who seek to arrive to that country to make asylum applications.

I am acting to suspend, for a limited period, the income of certain foreigners, in order to address the problem of the large number travelling through Mexico to enter the country illegally or without proper documentation, the Republican ruler said.

Trump asserted that those arriving illegally in contravention of that proclamation would not be eligible to be granted asylum under the Rules of Procedure promulgated by the Attorney-General and the Secretary of National Security which came into force on Friday.
