WASHINGTON, the USA.- On April 4, Americans will remember Reverend Martin Luther King, assassinated that day of 1968, and whose ideas are considered to be very effective by different sectors.

During this date, a two-day meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, will culminate in Washington, accused by numerous voices of committing violations of peace around the world.

The Director of the World beyond War Movement said that meeting does not have to celebrate a day in which they should recall the non-violent activism of Dr. King, and his call to oppose militarism, racism and extreme materialism.

He added that in the coming days, decent people will mourn the victims of NATO in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Libya, while they demand that the military alliance stop expanding and, instead, dissolve.
