MADRID, Spain.- The leader of Unidos Podemos left coalition, Pablo Iglesias, required Spanish President Mariano Rajoy to present his resignation because of the numerous corruption scandals dotting his party.

The New Spain can stand no more this situation of exceptionality, it is time you stop ruling and others do without so many friends in jail, Iglesias said to Rajoy in allusion to the myriad of judicial causes that corner the conservative People’s Party.

The Secretary General of Unidos Podemos declare himself in these terms during the marathon debate that generated in the Deputies Congress a motion of censure presented by that group against the chief of the Spanish Executive.

In Iglesias´s opinion, Rajoy will go down in history as the president of corruption because he does an excessive partisan use of the State institutions.
