MOSCOW, Russia.- A cell coordinated by leaders of the self-denominated Islamic State was disarticulated in Russia, in a special operation of several Russian security forces.
The cell operated in the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, where its members prepared to conduct terrorist actions and then join the self-denominated Islamic State in Syria, according to Russia Today web site.
It is pointed out that during the Russian operation terrorists were captured when they were getting rid of the weapons, and 11 Russian citizens who fell under their influence were also arrested.
During the searches, in addition to weapons, extremist literature and objects with symbolism of the Islamic State were found, which was being investigated by the Russian Federal Security Service, with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and the National Guard.
