Havana, Cuba.- Mozambique parliament president, Veronica Nataliel Macamo, paid tribute today in this capital to the Cuban National Hero, Jose Marti, at the Revolution Square.

In the monument to the independence hero, the visitor laid a wreath, a ceremony in which she was accompanied by host and African country officials, including the president of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP), Yolanda Ferrer.

According to the ANPP, Macamo will carry out an extensive program of work on the island, which includes a meeting this Monday with the president of the Assembly, Esteban Lazo.

It is expected that the meeting will take place in a fraternal atmosphere, in which the recognition of bilateral relations and the friendship that unites Cuba with African governments and peoples will be highlighted, according to sources from the legislature.

The parliamentary leaders will help with their exchange of criteria to consolidate the relations established in 1975 and cooperation in sectors such as health, education and sports.
