Cuban and Venezuelan flags.

HAVANA, Cuba.- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, sent to his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, a message of solidarity for the loss of human lives and property damage caused by a tornado in Havana.

The people of Cuba and our brother President Diaz-Canel can count on all the solidarity and support of Venezuela in this difficult moment. I express my condolences to the relatives of the victims affected by the tornado and the heavy rains, the President of Venezuela wrote on Twitter.

At least three people died and 172 were injured as a result of the affections caused by the violent weather phenomenon that hit areas of the Cuban capital this Sunday.

The deceased and injured were victims of partial or total destruction of houses, falling trees or other disasters caused by the tornado.
