The admiration and respect for the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, was expressed again today during an act of homage held in the Alkyonis movie theater in Athens.

In the act, organized by Velisarios Kosivakis, a well-known film promoter, the Ambassador of Cuba in Greece Zelmys María Domínguez referred in her speech moments of the life and work of the statesman and strategist, who transcended the borders of his country.

Nikos Karandreas, president of the Greek-Cuban Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Cuba in Athens, and Stavros Tassos, chairman of the Peace Committee and deputy by the Communist Party of Greece, remarked the relevance of Fidel Castro’s legacy.

They described traits of his revolutionary stature as a fighter for his country and for all of humanity, especially his sense of solidarity and cooperation with the peoples of the world.
