SAN JOSE, Costa Rica. – The almost two thousand guests to the solemn session of the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica received Ines Maria Chapman, Vice-President of the Council of State of Cuba, with many applauses and shouts of Viva Cuba.

Chapman heads the Cuban delegation to the inauguration of elected President Carlos Alvarado that is held at the Democracy and Army´s Abolition Square.

When the president of the Costa Rican Legislature, Carolina Hidalgo, announced the entrance of the Cuban Vice-President, the attendance broke into applauses and shouts of Viva Cuba resounded in the emblematic site.

Last night, the President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solis, received the Cuban Vice-President and during their meeting at the Yellow House, site of the Chancellery, both of them highlighted the good moment of the diplomatic relations and the interest of both parties to fortify them.
