maydayParis, France.-A delegation of the solidarity organization Cuba Sí Francia is prepared to travel to the Caribbean nation and participate there in the festivities of the International Workers” Day, declared the president of the group, Charly Bouhana.

In an interview with Prensa Latina, the leader of the association explained this is a very important trip for them, because they can join the Cuban people in the First of May, a day of special significance.

Bouhana saisd each year Cuba Si Francia makes the effort to organize a tour to the island on this occasion and parade in the Plaza de la Revolucion together with thousands of citizens, an experience of high value for them.

On the other hand, he said the delegation of some 20 members, will stay for about 10 days in the island, participating in an ample program of activities.

In the agenda stands out the delivery of donations to contribute to the recovery of the eastern zone of the country affected by hurricane Matthew with severe damages.

They will also meet with the authorities of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), including its president Fernando Gonzalez Llort, one of the five Cubans prisoners in the United States for monitoring extremist groups that from Miami plan actions against the island.

‘For us it will be very special to meet Fernando, one of the five héroes, because here in France we fought hard in favor of their reléase, and it is very rewarding to see them now free and again in their country’, he said.

Bouhana also mentioned Kenia Serranio -until recently president of ICAP- to whom he showed enormous respect and admiration for her work of years leading that institution.

The leader of Cuba Si Francia also explained that the visiting delegation will have members of the French trade unión movement and, consequently another of its activities will be a meeting with the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba.

Created almost three decades ago, the association continues its tradition of promoting approach and extending solidarity links between Cuba and France, concluded Bouhana.
