La Paz, Bolivia.- President Evo Morales highlighted the anti-imperialist struggle and internationalism of Ernesto Che Guevara on the 50th anniversary of the Argentinean-Cuban guerrilla fighter”s presence in Bolivia.

In a press conference, Morales referred to the validity of his ideas in times when the attacks by U.S. imperialism and sectors of the international right against progressive governments in Latin America do not cease.

He also described as vital Che’s internationalist line of thought as a promoter of solidarity in the face of the needs from the peoples of the world.

The head of State informed that in order to revere Che’s legacy, vice-presidents and other officials from Latin American and Caribbean countries will gather in Vallegrande, department of Santa Cruz, from October 5 to 9.

Buses from Argentina and Peru will arrive in Vallegrande, where events on the Che’s thinking will be held with participation of international experts.
