BUDAPEST, Hungary. – The World Federation of Democratic Youth issued a declaration of solidarity with Cuba from Hungary, where the Coordinating Bureau of this entity is located.

The text points out that American President Donald Trump announced the policy of his Government towards Cuba in a public ceremony where he showed total ignorance of the history and reality of the Antillean people.

The document also emphasizes that Trump´s decision was endorsed through the signing of a policy directive called Presidential Memorandum of National Security on the Strengthening of U.S. Policy towards Cuba, with the aim of reinforcing the aggressions against the revolution,.

The US President justified his decision with alleged concerns about the situation of human rights in Cuba and the need to enforce rigorously the blockade´s laws, which has international rejection.
