HAVANA, Cuba.- The Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rogelio Sierra Diaz, will chair the Cuban delegation to the Pacific Islands Forum, to be held in the Republic of Nauru, in the South Pacific, from September 3 to 6.
According CubaMinrex web site, the meeting is the main event of the region, which brings together fourteen small island States, as well as observers and dialogue partners, a condition Cuba has since 2013.
The forum, which is held annually, aims to establish positions between the Pacific island States on issues as important as economy and cooperation.
The Cuban delegation will have the opportunity to exchange experiences on the common challenges these nations share, because of their status as small island States.
