LA PAZ, Bolivia.- The Association of Relatives of Detainees, Disappeared and Martyrs for the National Liberation of Bolivia paid homage to the Cuban guerrillas fallen in the fight for the freedom of that country.

During the ceremony for the International Day of Victims of enforced disappearance, the Secretary of Finance of the Association, Roxana Vaca, commented this is the first occasion in which the Cuban guerrillas are included with the Bolivian ones, because they are all martyrs for the national liberation.

The main promoter of this homage to the guerrilla fighters commanded by Che said this act encloses symbolism, because the memory of Cubans is vindicated.

On this day they also commemorate the Day of the Detainee at the time of the military dictatorships of René Barrientos, Hugo Banzer and Luis Garcia Meza, Roxana Vaca said.
