Lisbon, Portugal.-The General Attorney”s Office of the Republic of Cuba and the Public Prosecutor”s Office of Portugal have signed a bilateral cooperation agreement to strengthen relations between the public ministries from both countries.
The document was signed by the Attorney General of Cuba, Dario Delgado Cura and his Portuguese peer, Joana Marques, according to an official statement from the Cuban embassy in Lisbon.
The agreement defines the basis on which the institutional collaboration ties will be established between the two public prosecutors’ offices, especially in the exchange of experience and training.
‘The agreement continues an exchange that has gained strength after the Marques’ participation in the 13th International Event of Criminal Sciences and the 1st Event on Legality, Law and Society, both held in Cuba in March,’ the statement stressed.
The signing of the agreement took place in the framework of the 24th General Assembly of the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors (AIAMP).
Founded in Brazil in 1954 as the Inter-American Association of Public Prosecutors, the AIAMP is an entity that brings together prosecutors from 21 Ibero-American countries.
