Buenos Aires, Argentina.- Under the name of Heroes de Artemisa, in honor of that Cuban province´s fighters, the Argentine town of Rio Cuarto, south of Cordoba, has created a new solidarity group with the island.

The new headquarters that will swell the already solid Argentine Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MasCuba) was initiated at a ceremony attended by the island’s ambassador, Orestes Perez, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barrack, which opened the way to the revolutionary triumph in the country in 1959.

The opening was held at the Central de Trabajadores de Argentina, Regional Rio Cuarto and it had representatives from different regions of Cordoba, Buenos Aires and Bariloche.

The event culminated with an exhibition of 50 unpublished Ernesto Che Guevara´s photos taken by the Correspondents of Prensa Latina, the Latin American news agency he helped to found on June 16, 1959.

During the event, the members of the solidarity group with the island summoned everyone to the forthcoming national meeting to be held in Cordoba in 2020.
