LUANDA, Angola.-The outgoing President of Angola, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, exercised this Wednesday his right to vote in the fourth elections in the independent history of the country.

Dos Santos, who declined last February to present his third re-election after 38 years in power, exercised his right at the Electoral College located at San Jose de Colony School in Luanda.

More than nine Angolans over 18 years old choose the third president of the African country this Wednesday, its vice-president and the 220 deputies to the National Assembly.

The opposition National Union for the Total Independence of Angola and the Broad Convergence of Salvation of Angola-Electoral coalition, as well as the Social Renewal Party, National Front of Liberation of Angola and the Patriotic Alliance, take part in the elections.
