Elections in Venezuela.

CARACAS, Venezuela. – The Electoral Register of Venezuela has reported to date some 180 thousand movements since the beginning of a special day of registration and updating with a view to the presidential elections next April.

According to the Vice-President of the register, Sandra Oblitas, the body works to ensure peaceful and democratic coexistence in the country.

For this purpose, some 15 audits will be carry out to guarantee the transparency of the process, which will be attended by representatives of the participating political parties.

The Venezuelans went to the polls three times last year, and in one of them they elected the representatives of the National Constituent Assembly. This body returned peace to the nation after the right promoted protests that left over a hundred dead and millionaire losses for the State.
