Havana, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed confidence that the majority of Cubans will ratify the text of the new Constitution in the referendum underway this Sunday.
Electoral authorities today declared open more than 25,340 polling stations in Cuba”s 15 provinces for the referendum on the island”s new Constitution.
More than eight million Cubans are now called to exercise their right to a free, direct and secret vote in the referendum that defines whether or not they ratify the new Constitution of the Republic.
The president of the Health and Sports Commission of the National Assembly of People”s Power, Estela Cristina Luna, highlighted the democratic nature of the new Constitution that is currently being submitted to a referendum in Cuba for ratification.
