Venezuelan Minister of Communication Jorge Rodriguez reported that five people were arrested for sabotage of electrical system.

CARACAS, Venezuela.- Five people remain detained and 19 others with arrest warrants for their links to attacks on Venezuela’s electrical system, Minister of Communication Jorge Rodriguez said.

In press conference from Miraflores Palace, Rodriguez said among those involved are Julio Cesar Acuna and Ramon Oswaldo Garcia, requested to Interpol, as well as Miguel Angel Jose Freitas.

The Venezuelan Minister of Communication also reported that justice requires Jesus Rodriguez Landoni for his connection to the attacks on the Simon Bolivar hydroelectric plant, known as El Guri.

Since last March 7, more than 45 minor attacks on the electrical system were perpetrated, while over the last 2 years more than 50 percent of the country’s substations were sabotaged.
