CARACAS, Venezuela.-The nations members of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples’ of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) condemned the attempts by the United States to attack Venezuela, and reiterated the call to the establishment of a constructive and respectful dialogue.
The declaration signed by the chancellors at the sixth Extraordinary Meeting of the Political Council of that mechanism, calls to make efforts to keep Latin America and the Caribbean as a peace zone.
“Take off the hands of Venezuela all those who make interference, intervention, and proclaim cynical or hypocritical purposes”, Cuban Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez said at the meeting.
Rodriguez emphasized the Bolivarian people risen their voice and decided on the course to follow in these days of crucial importance for the future of Venezuela and Our America.
Strong Condemnation to Violence
At the sixth Extraordinary Meeting of the Political Council of ALBA-TCP, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, said the unilateral measures imposed by the American government respond to the mineral riches the South American nation possesses.
He recalled the dignitary that the elections of the National Constituent Assembly were held last July 30, where the Venezuelan people, through their massive participation gave a demonstration to the world on defense to the Bolivarian government.
The representative of El Salvador also rejected the unilateral measures against the land of Bolivar and Chavez, and assured no one can coerce a country’s sovereign actions.
Other statements at the extraordinary meeting of ALBA-TCP demanded the firm and immediate international condemnation to violence, which has cost unfortunate deaths and numerous losses to the Venezuelan people.
