CARACAS, Venezuela. – President Nicolas Maduro called his compatriots to demonstrate to the world that they are the only protagonists of the country’s destinies, exercising their right to vote on May 20 to continue economic consolidation.

In ceremony of beginning of campaign in Barinas State, the President warned that in those elections independence and sovereignty of Venezuela are at stake against the pretensions of the United States and its allies to destroy the Bolivarian Revolution and its achievements.

Maduro then detailed some aspects of his next government program, based on the deepening of actions in social and economic areas and the consolidation of public education, free and with quality.

The Venezuelan President also referred to the optimization of the public administration system and family medical care, and reaching the figure of five million homes delivered through the Housing Venezuela Great Mission.
