CARACAS, Venezuela.- The First Vice-President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, confirmed that the only elections to be held in the country, in the near future, are the parliamentary ones.

During a press conference in Yaracuy state, the political leader emphasized the elections must be held next year to renew the National Assembly, in contempt since 2016 and with an opposition majority.

The President of the National Constituent Assembly insisted that the legislature´s elections are the only ones planned in the near future, in correspondence with the provisions of the Constitution.

Cabello emphasized that through the Articulation and Sociopolitical Action Network, they identified more than 40 thousand communities where the party has a permanent presence, and in which they work to ensure the triumph of their candidates.
