Diaz-Canel Arrives in London in Transit to Cuba

LONDON, UK.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel came to the United Kingdom this Monday on a transit visit to Cuba, culminating in his first tour of the European and Asian nations, after taking office last April.

Diaz-Canel arrived this Monday at Gatwick Airport in London coming from Laos, last stop of a journey begun at the beginning of the month by France, Russia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, China and Vietnam.

During his stay in London, the Cuban President will be received by local authorities and will meet with representatives of the British Solidarity Movement with Cuba and the Embassy of the island in that European nation.

Qualified as fruitful, during his tour Diaz-Canel reviewed the status of political and economic ties with these countries to give them a new impetus.
