Havana, Cuba.- President Miguel Diaz-Canel noted on Saturday that despite the hostility from the government of the United States and its interfering stances to stop Cuba”s development, the island bets on strengthening its ties with other countries.

In a message on Twitter, Diaz-Canel said that during the 39th International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2019), which is closing here on Saturday, opposition to Washington’s sanctions on Cuba which tighten the blockade imposed nearly 60 years ago was confirmed.

In FITCuba 2019, it was confirmed that many oppose the sanctions, measures and aggressive policies by the US government against Cuba which tighten the blockade. The empire is isolating itself, in Cuba we continue to open to the world, the president wrote on his Twitter account @DiazCanelB.

The event, which opened a week ago, was attended by tour operators and travel agents from all over the world, among other personalities.
